Learn more about becoming a volunteer research assistant for the lab
Research Assistant Applications for Fall 2025 are paused.
We currently do not anticipate needing additional research assistants for the Fall 2025 or Spring 2025 semesters. This may change later in the Summer depending on staffing needs. For questions regarding applying, please reach out to cpl.psy@msu.edu.
Expectations for Undergraduate Research Assistants
Complete one (1) on-boarding semester. This is generally 3-hours a week. Become familiar with the lab space, expectations, receive training on upcoming projects and more.
Complete two (2) full semesters. An average of 8-10/hour a week commitment.
Must have weekend availability to run sessions with participants in the lab.
Highly recommended: Having an interest in psychology and physiology – our research utilizes a physiology-based method (electroencephalogram). Take a look at our current projects page to learn more about our on-going study and population focus.
