Psychological Intervention for Depression & Anxiety

Feeling sad or anxious?

In this multi-university study, we are investigating if changing the way someone talks to themselves can shape how they feel.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age 18-25 years old

  • Native English speaker

  • Experiencing sadness, loss of interest, or worry (experiencing depression or anxiety)

Study Tasks

  • Two in-person sessions at Michigan State University Psychology Department

  • Three telehealth sessions over Zoom

  • Short phone surveys x5/day

  • Nightly practice activity

Commitment & Compensation

  • 6 hours of in-person or telehealth sessions

  • 2 weeks of daily phone surveys and practice activities

  • You may receive up to $220 for completing all parts of the survey.
